Day eight

 

Monday

Getting an early start to a big day...walked into town at 8:00

                                     

On the train we had a little treat in the dinning car, not as we might have liked but at least for Tanner and me, we enjoyed the white table cloth and service.

It gave us a little break from the long train ride to Zurich

 First stop Pretzel King.. ( maybe our third time on this trip.. worth every calorie )

Then we walked around the city  ( Anita was our guide, it is huge and you can get lost without a smart phone and "guide" )

Took the hint and stopped for a little refreshment

Next stop    Chocolate !!

In a town near Zurich is...

we enter   the lobby  

A bit of a tour before you actually get into the....

Then comes the shopping...

and we know how to shop ..

           three bags full, make it four !

and then a little break.... first a little hand care

Wait, did I have coffee and coke?  Or just coke? hmm
We stayed in the café for at least an hour
enjoyed the decorations

Soon we follow directions to a restaurant where my cousin and her hubby will join us for dinner   ( again the smart phone, plus the help of a few locals who knew the language )

Anne and Gerhard

They are healthy, in their 90's and still swim every day. Anne plays the organ at church, too.

A family visit makes the trip worthwhile

very special 

A late night... no bus...quick walk and back home by 11:00
