another goodbye

Remembering Molly,

While I had known Molly for over 40 years, and had grown to love her, there was so much about her that I did not know.
Listening to her sons share was a delight.  While they were very close to her, they were able to talk about her and laugh at some memories and give a beautiful picture of my friend.

The main qualities that impressed me were that she was
generous, hospitable,  positive... always

Positive:   While their youngest son was challenged, he was so loved and treated respectfully, always.   On a shopping trip a stranger asked "is he alright?"  Molly said, "Yes, he's fine, he just has a cold"

Hospitable:  The family shared that anyone who happened to be alone for a holiday, they were included around their table.
While one son was in college during Thanksgiving, he got snowed in and could not make it home.  He called Mom.   She told him to invite 20 people to come, gave him a shopping list and walked him through preparing the entire Thanksgiving dinner on the phone.
A great success
Training for the future !

Molly did not have a cell phone.  She made life happen with a land line and love.  She was very loyal, friendships that lasted for years.
While there is much more that could be said about our friend, my greatest take away.... be positive !

Blessed to call her my friend
An example to follow

I live an exciting life
