Bern...
It is our last morning before heading home..
Dad and a couple daughters enjoying
the moment
Our final day of adventure...one group to Bern
While the capitol building is their prominent building of notice
I am more impressed with the Cathedral
But getting there comes first...
 |
leaving the neighborhood on to the train |
On the train and getting closer
With its UNESCO-listed old town, cathedral, clock tower, fountains and numerous arcades, Bern is one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities.
Here is my quick look down the lanes..
upstairs ↓ and downstairs ↑
 |
Entry going down or to the right, two steps up |
A beautiful ride.. just a distraction for us
we ride the trains, and walk
 |
Closed for lunch |
This is a landmark...Chocolate is the bestin Switzerland... For years This is a river you can actually "ride" down and Anita did it yesterday. On a tube. Dry Clothes in plastic. We could not manage it today, it's a long story. But, a beautiful and long riverStop for lunch |
I had Rosti almost every day Who does not love potatoes and cheese and bacon |
and the view
There are three bears, but only one in view
Yes, the Swiss
capital of Bern is known for its bears, which are a long-standing symbol
of the city and can be viewed at the Baren Park ( Bear Park ) BärenPark. While the bears live in a spacious, naturalistic enclosure along the Aare
River, there are no longer any native wild bears in Switzerland, and the bears
in the park were born in captivity.
Walking through a residential area
fooled me,,,,for a minute
Then we caught a bus
and then found the store inside the mall that was hidden inside...
And much, much more, but we must get back to the train...
A little free entertainment along the way
and on the bus
Almost home
It took the family
and
we did it
And thank you Dale for this gift
And that is the end of a beautiful day
and
A beautiful family gathering
I live an exciting life
.
