Our  planned adventure took a turn

    some of us went by train, 

        some hiked...

We had hoped to meet for lunch, but paths did not cross

Gstadd,   yes it is spelled correctly 

But first... leaving the brown house

          on to our destination 

The most expensive village in Switzerland is Gstaad, a luxury ski resort and playground for the wealthy and international jet set. Renowned for its expensive real estate, with chalets costing millions, high-end shopping, and exclusivity, Gstaad attracts celebrities, royalty, and billionaires who are drawn to its beauty and luxurious amenities.

The high end stores, etc.  listed above are of no interest to us, but the atmosphere is very enjoyable
Okay, and peeking into little streets here and there

then a walk out of the city

A local artist had her door open 

Arrived at destination
Cheese and more cheese 

The round object is mowing the lawn 

We can say we have eaten a meal in the most expensive village in Switzerland

 

and visited the local church 

Then a walk up a winding road

I was ready to walk in the front door...but "someone" said, no

So back to the city and then on to a real home in Zweisimmen 

 

Tonight we have pizza...
