Movie time

Ok,  on the plane, free movie going east and west.

Movie going east was great.   Eyes swimming in the first 1/2 hour.
I gave a hint in the Chicago post, but here is another

Opening with the face of someone almost everyone over  30, in America, would recognize.  We did not even have a TV  and I recognized him.   

Not sure if all of it is a true story, but it could be, in fact, very close to home.

Got any guesses?

OH... the return flight... not sure why it got academy awards,
 but I will never recommend, or admit I viewed it. ( though on the plane it is a little "milder" )

That is when I watch a movie..

The latest made my eyes swim a bit.  One of the main characters was a dog. Even though dogs don't talk,usually, it felt like a true story.  It was in the comedy category and there were some funny scenes.  But it was a love story. Two love stories in one.

I had never heard of it, but that is not saying much. I recommended  it to my friend who loves dogs more than some folks like kids and she said she had heard of it, but never watched it.

I love some dogs,  but regardless,   I am recommending this one.

Or.. What did I watch on the plane?

Yes, it was that time again, and thanks to Delta Airlines, free movies
and this trip, free food !    Since the trip was over 3 hours, they offered a complimentary cheese platter or a sandwich with chips.

Down to business
I always look for the movies that are at least based on a true story.
( Since we are not much in the know about these things I scroll and scroll )

Found one.
And it was good.

Here goes.

Two very different and unlikely men end up "helping" each other.

One is on "probation" and no longer allowed to be with his son and family.
The other is a very, very wealthy business man who needs help with every part of living.
        he is quadriplegic

They do learn from each other and yes, there is one part where my eyes are swimming.

Shocking, and harsh,  but truth.

I am partial to Cadillac's   

One thing about movies on planes... can't always hear the dialogue plainly, but, pictures are worth a 1,000 words.    And, since I was told to keep my phone turned off, I snagged a couple shots and then obeyed.

Ok. that is the only clue 

The story brings two proud men with very different backgrounds together.        Takes a while, but they learn from each other. 
 And I learned too.

Oh, my favorite part is the end... but, I am not going to tell you. But I sure would like to know if your eyes were swimming by then.
