Once again,,,

on the plane

A movie

Shocking, and harsh,  but truth.

I am partial to Cadillac's

One thing about movies on planes... can't always hear the dialogue plainly, but, pictures are worth a 1,000 words.    And, since I was told to keep my phone turned off, I snagged a couple shots and then obeyed.

Ok. that is the only clue

The story brings two proud men with very different backgrounds together.        Takes a while, but they learn from each other.
 And I learned too.

Oh, my favorite part is the end... but, I am not going to tell you. But I sure would like to know if your eyes were swimming by then.

Did you guess ?
( the title has a color in it )
Have you seen it  ?

Name it...

Finally a GOOD free movie on my flight  !

A true story…
My favorite part came about halfway through the movie. Leading lady, with hair sopping wet comes dashing into the office space and the big boss says

" where have you been".

It is quiet and he continues

“ Where  have you been? Everywhere I look you're not where I need you to be. And it's not my imagination.”

She freezes

“Where do you go everyday?”

She answers (quietly) “The bathroom, sir. “

He shouts “The bathroom! The damn bathroom! “

She responds, “ Yes, sir. The bathroom.”

He says  “For 40 minutes a day!? What do you do in there!? We are T-minus zero here. I put a lot of faith in you.”

. She whispers: There’s no bathroom for me here.”

He shouts “There’s no bathroom? What do you mean there’s no bathroom for you here? “

Her voice rises. “ There’s no bathroom here. There are no COLORED bathrooms in this building or ANY building outside the West Campus. Which is half a mile away! Did you know that? I have to walk to Timbuktu just to relieve myself! And I can’t take one of the handy bikes. Picture that, with my uniform: skirt below the knees and my heels. And don’t get me started about the “simple pearl necklace” I can’t afford. Lord knows you don’t pay “the coloreds enough for that. And I work like a dog day and night, living on coffee from a coffee pot half of you don’t want me to touch! So excuse me if I have to go to the restroom a few times a day!”
And by then she is talking loudly
and tears are running down her
                         cheeks and mine.

You can hear a pin drop

second favorite part.

She tells the big man in charge " You are the boss,

you just have to act like it.”

In the final scenes...well, you will just have to catch it

yourself.

There is never I place I wanted to fast forward. Moves along

well.  Does not reveal the other kinds of harsh treatment that

was suffered by black people.  There is hurt, but these are

strong women, very strong, and smart, very smart.

movie time

So I went to a movie

By myself. Well, I forgot to ask YOU, but none of the family was free to go  and since it was

1. Free – movie night in the park
2. A movie most of the family had seen –gives  Grammy something to talk about
3. It was a lovely night - hubby was out of town
4. They had free popcorn.
Here is what happened.

Lego,  the movie.

Grammy went.

Got to the park nice and early. There were trucks with free stuff.
   Kind:   energy bars
   Naked:  juice cups
105,3  : pens, stickers and emery boards
    Free popcorn
Sponsors:  Whole Foods - prizes for gamers.

By 9:00 it was getting chilly.  I had plenty of time to skip back to Sabrina and grab a blanket. I already had
my nice little camping chair. ( You will be proud of me that I did not put the umbrella top up )

So many people.  It was the largest crowd so far.

It was kind of like being on an airplane. You know, free movie, crying babies, people wanting to get past you, and yes even two passengers  ( movie goers ) with their smart phone lit up the whole time.

OK.  my review.

I am glad you saw it already, because I would probably not recommend it.
Especially if you were sitting on the ground and it was 60 degrees and windy.
One of you said it was the most visually stimulating movie ever.
Two of you said it was great.
And, now I can say I have seen it.
I did laugh a couple times. Will Ferrell can do that .

Just thought you would like to know, and it would have been much more fun with YOU.
Got home at  11:20, so it would have been kinda late for the little folks

I live an exciting life
