Aloha -3

   Saturday...

Why was I up at 4:00 a.m.    Maui is 3 hours behind the N.W. not ahead.  oh well, time to read.

not the Lanai view, but still, a blue sky, very blue

Then an early morning trip down to watch Anita and Tanner surf fun.

Darrell and I walked down... first he stopped to say hello to his "friend".    Had a water bottle  and some bread to give him.   Nothing doing, but polite

He seems to be there day and night. Not sure what he has in his wagon.  

On the way back, Nita and I stopped at the German bakery.   Five of the most delicious treats you can imagine.... worth every calorie  

Pool, puzzle and just enjoy Maui time

Christian did the checking and turns out that our only time for dinner at Ruth's Chris is tonight! So we made an early trip down to Waimea, did some shopping and then, a delightful early dinner special.

We had a gift card..our Bellevue location has closed. 

 Crab cakes

Filet and mashed garlic potatoes for 3 of us
Nita got a salad

Tanner got his ice cream,

 and the flaming strawberries were in celebration of anniversaries 

Darrell had cheesecake

And, this young  couple intrigued me.  Hawaii is casual and even at Ruth's Chis the attire is surprisingly casual. ( the waitperson who showed us to our table, well her hair was not tidy)

 But not casual for me, and not for the lady at this table.  Her escort was very casual. But she was dressed beautifully.  All in white, with flattering  jewelry and perfect hair. 

As we were leaving, I paused at their table to tell her " you look stunning". she smiled and said thank you,  I heard her escort say thank you, too.
