Switzerland garden & The Victorian

The garden was along the railroad....

Fenced in, and locked, so we had to find a time when the family was there
and they invited us in to take pictures
They came every morning  ( had breakfast ) and every night
Letting the chickens out, in,  watering, gathering produce, etc.

We admired the view, every day as walked to the train
Finally, got to go inside.
Pretty amazing

Our evening walks took us to the Victoria Hotel

Switzerland Chapter Five and Miracles Happen

Travelling was a big part of our vacation.   We made a trip, every day, by train and maybe bus.   So, we left the driving to the conductor.

We were surprised at the  many wood piles along the way

We saw many carriages, but no, we did not take a ride

A little out of order, but we have to tell what happened on the way to Gruyeres
The trip involved two trains.  There is usually between 4 and 10 minutes to change, and often a trip down the ramp and back up again to the next track.
We left train number one and had plenty of time to get to train number two, into 2nd class car, and  slip into our seats.  As Darrell was settling into his place he cried
" Where is my bag?  Where is my bag?"   His back pack with both of our passports, his wallet and much more were missing.
We exit the train rapidly, head toward the previous train track and are  barely onto the deck and
there on the ground was Darrell's bag. Must have taken it off to check papers and then did
not get it back on again.
Relief.  Relief in a big way.
Miracles happen, Thank you Lord

Entering Gruyeres

That tall dark and handsome shopper belongs to me

Along with chocolate and cheese,
they are known for their meringues

Two of the cutest tourists

There is almost no traffic in this city
But, when the approved vehicles approach
this little post drops into the ground.
Then, when they have passed through, it goes back down

Did you see it?

Many bikers

This was a big day and we were ready to go home
But, we will always remember
