 In a nutshell...

WDW.. This year was different, like just about everything in our world, but the difference did not make a difference, we had a good time, a very good time.

OK...the weather was cool, very cool, and that was different, but we had jackets and extra layers.

The crowd was small, much smaller than ever. So the lines for rides were shorter, much shorter. 

Our resort was different.  A bit more walking than other years. Quite a bit more walking.

Did I mention that it is cool outside?  

 You step up to the elevator and
 you touch the screen with the floor you want 
then the screen tells you which elevator to go to
then you step in and
all you see is the floor you going to

The first morning we walked to the Tower for breakfast.  French toast and bacon.  

 Before heading to the Park  ( today it is Hollywood Studios) I headed to the ladies room.   

I could hear a sad voice.  She  was hearing some very hard, maybe tragic news.  She was crying.  I approached her as she was hanging up and after a few words of comfort, I asked her if I could pray with her.  She said yes.   I did.  She let me hug her and we parted.  Her name was Amber and I thought about her many times during the day.  

Soon we are on the shuttle to Hollywood studios

Since our first family visit in 1992 we have had lunch at Prime Time Café.   Every year we take a picture of someone in the turquoise lounge chair.

But, this year it was different.

Dinner at Downtown Disney....so crowded.. back to our hotel and a little walk around the resort ( gift shop included ) 

                           Epcot Center 

Day Two...  Epcot Center.   did not open until 11:00 so we went to our favorite hotel for a leisurely breakfast

 It is Called the Grand Floridian
and it is Grand 

But wait... Where is Darrell's backpack ?
Did he leave it on the boat?  Did he leave it in the Men's room?

Disney staff to the rescue.  Miss  Claire, the hostess, headed up to the lobby and found that someone had already turned in the back pack.

Relaxed now, we enjoyed a sweet breakfast 

On  display are two Chocolate art pieces...   

They look  " good enough to eat"  

But, you better just look

   Yes,   all chocolate.   

Now  it is Epcot time.

Construction going on, but that does not take away from the Spring theme here.... The Flower and Garden Show.

A day with friends

 A Day at Ikea..

I drove to  hook up with friend number one and friend  number two, they are sisters 

  The view... love it...have to snap it every time I visit 

then we drove to friend number three

 Very welcoming
but wait... come on inside 

She thought we needed a treat before our adventure

Then we were off... always fun and different things at Ikea, and the Café was open today !  Swedish meatballs, gravy and mashed potatoes ( almost as good as Norwegian )

Before we left, our hostess brought out some of her jewelry creations.  " Take whatever you would like "    So we did.  I came home with 5 pieces.   If you want to see them, just ask.
