Have you ever seen such an enormous antique shop. Two stories high, includes a cafe and ice cream parlor. Even the  Ice cream seemed  old.  We all found a "treasure" here.

Breakfast in Battleground 

We are almost home now.  We spend some time in a couple antique malls and everyone finds some treasures.   We say goodbye to Barb and Rog and after stopping for a little supper we swing by the Conrad's .    An enormous hug from Tanner for Grampy and Grammy . It is good to be home.
                          

Just a piece of Chocolate cake please

We were having lunch together at the Boarding House and all I ordered was a bowl of soup and a piece of chocolate cake.  I had been looking at the menu for a few minutes waiting for Renae,  so by the time I ordered I was very ready.  Ready for chocolate cake.

"OH, I'm sorry, that was yesterdays special. Today we have carrot cake."

NO.  I make a great carrot cake, so I never order it at a restaurant, especially so close to Easter when I will be making it for sure.  ( this year it just might  be a flop ) 

I wasn't rude, but I think she knew I was disappointed, since I just got soup.

That was Wednesday.
On Saturday we were dining, and I do mean dining on the 16th floor, at  Holt's.   Now that is a story for later.   But I mentioned my experience at The Boarding House  and got some sympathy.

The  following Wednesday ....
                               .Now that is what I call a Chocolate Cake ( with the letter K   )  

 And it was delicious .  And the second piece for breakfast the next morning was also very delish!

     Fig tree = Israel - See the evidence in this nation.
     v, 14  the whole world has access to the  Gospel 
           Think about it.     Internet, T.V  radio, etc.

Though no one knows but the Father, when Jesus will return, He does tell us of the signs to look for so we would know the generation… and that generation looks like now.

WHAT TIME IS IT?  TIME TO WAKE UP !

 WATCH ( on your knees, read the Word ) v. 42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

 WORK  - ( our work is to reveal God’s glory )

Time to celebrate

 Where there is       Cherry Cake, 

                       there is a reason to 

                                             celebrate

Cherry cake  ( formerly called fruit cake )

       Theme:  red flowers. in vases,                      .                              on napkins           
                                on   tablecloth

         Menu:  Tattoo potatoes, Swedish meatballs, Monk's cheese, Dill bread,  Broccoli salad, fresh fruit,      Dessert, fruit pizza and Stover's Chocolates
        Guests:  Anderson's, Cantrell's, Imhoff's, Klassen's, Reid's, Suliman and Yabot's.
        Party favors:  Cherry Cakes and chocolate bars.


A evening  of feasting, fellowship and fun.    

So, the guests are gone, Darrell has helped clean up the kitchen, almost everything is back in place.
 ( well it looks good ).  
So I pour a cup of coffee and sit down to reflect on the evening.   
There are two little gift bags waiting for me.   One is a little dish with a bird perked on the edge and a fragrant bar of soap.   The other is a pendant, a  silver cross of diamonds. 
Both gifts were from very close and dear friends, unexpected though not surprised ( I know them so well and they love me )

The next morning I hear from a young friend  who says her Mom could not stop talking about how much fun she had, how great the food was and..well, .that kind of complement I cherish.

Celebrating Tiffany and....

 Tiffany turns  40 and that requires a celebration.  We both love Agatha Chrisite so it was wonderful that her long playing Mousetrap came to town. 
We had a great dinner first, at Jak's  and then a short walk to the theater

 A very well done play. Both of us had seen it in London, but only Tiffany remembered the story and who committed the murder.

 A little treat at intermission and the mystery is solved.   But we will never tell " who done it. "
The big mystery is,   Why didn't I get a picture of the birthday girl and her Mom ?

 The bus ride down was a great time to get better acquainted with other leaders
