Music

In my heart there rings a melody..

This is Sandi Patty with her husband
                       and her music team

Three levels of decks...and hundreds of us...
Sandi is on the bridge between two decks

Gathered to sing favorite old hymns...

It was beautiful...

Yes, that is Sandi Patty and me...

On to other music..

Yes,,, she was there....and her hubby too
We had  watched the movie of her family story, so this was a great new chapter in her life.

( Unsung Hero )

Later we heard..

Singing with all her heart....and shared her story.. Struggled with aggressive cancer, and is now in good health.   Gives a different perspective to their beautiful  ministry.

He has an amazing gift of music.

( don't know his name, wrote it down   somewhere )
Didn't seem to need any "music" he just smiled and sang and played ....and we sang along

Another group we enjoyed, The Isaac's, are three generations strong.  Yes, they are Jewish, and long ago, the family had moved to a city without a synagogue , so Grandma went to the nearby church.
And she got saved. And her children got saved.  And now they all sing to honor the Lord.

And it seemed like we could hear music all over the ship.
A very memorable week.

Pause... home from the cruise for a few days and down with an ugly flu bug.... but I can  "think"
about food now....3 weeks later....

A major part of a cruise is..

Food !

And what food starts the day?

That's the one.   And right to our door and out to our balcony... That's the way to start the morning, and your Bible on your lap.

We did a little pre ordering at home, not knowing the whole menu, and on day three this is what came...

Now we know there is always bacon at the cafe upstairs and it opens early.   We usually found a window seat and enjoyed several choices from a very diverse display

Egg dishes, made to order..

The  lunch was also available in the cafe

               Dinner...

In no particular order....

This is the table we were assigned to.. at the 8:15 dinner hour.   Most evenings we were alone or with one, maybe two other couples.   Tonight, white night, it is Teresa and Brian.

Another meal highlight....

Crab cakes

Theme for tonight....Italian

French Onion soup

Darrell's choice... ↑

Mine,   Clam linguine ...very good

Desserts....

Picnic on Ocean Cay

After dinner that night, our final night, couples gathered on the highest level of the ship  to sign marriage renewals... A lady from  the Guinness book of world records was there.. and the record was broken

Ports of Call

And What you were waiting for

First stop.

Our ship, first port.... Roatan, Honduras

They can play  and they can sing and they can dance

And they have coffee... and that was their draw for free WI-FI         Very good java

But, Darrell wanted to see the children and was ready with US dollars... so we walked outside the "tourist" area...

Chickens, but no children... school day,,,and some "not so pretty" streets

time to head back to the ship.

Second port:

Costa Maya, Mexico

There was also entertainment... men climbing to the top of a high poll... secured with ropes, then slowly winding down and then in full swing.

video available when you come to visit us.

Third stop:

 Cozumel, Mexico

And a long coast for tourists... a typical "mall" of souvenirs.  First stop,  $5. T shirt !   Done !

And a "taste" of home

And free Wi-Fi...  we thought
(When we got back to USA, we realized that most messages did not come through. )

Our final port
and my favorite:

Ocean Cay ..
The private island of the cruise ship and...

They served lunch...delicious corn on the cob

That is our ship... private beaches... beautiful sky

My feet in the Atlantic Ocean, yes it was warm

Brilliant  colors

Final view... more colorful delight

I live an exciting life.
